CVE-2026-68436 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: use kvzalloc to allocate struct dc struct dc has grown large over time (most of it the two inlined dc_scratch_space copies) and now sits close to the page allocator's 4 MiB contiguous allocation limit. Its actual size is not fixed by the source alone, it also depends on the compiler and the .config, so it can easily cross 4 MiB, e.g. with a newer GCC or a config change. dc_create() allocates it with kzalloc(). Once struct dc exceeds 4 MiB the request is rounded up to order 11 (8 MiB), which is above MAX_PAGE_ORDER, so the page allocator warns and returns NULL. dc_create() then fails, DM init fails and amdgpu probe aborts with -EINVAL: WARNING: mm/page_alloc.c:5197 at __alloc_frozen_pages_noprof+0x2f9/0x380 dc_create+0x38/0x660 [amdgpu] amdgpu_dm_init+0x2d9/0x510 [amdgpu] dm_hw_init+0x1b/0x90 [amdgpu] amdgpu_device_init.cold+0x150d/0x1e13 [amdgpu] amdgpu_driver_load_kms+0x19/0x80 [amdgpu] amdgpu_pci_probe+0x1e2/0x4c0 [amdgpu] dc_create() then returns NULL and DM init fails, which aborts the whole GPU init and makes amdgpu probe fail with -EINVAL ("hw_init of IP block <dm> failed -22"), leaving the display unusable. The subsequent amdgpu_irq_put() warnings during teardown are just fallout of unwinding a half-initialized device. struct dc is a software-only bookkeeping structure that is never handed to hardware DMA and is only ever kept as an opaque pointer, so it does not require physically contiguous memory. Allocate it with kvzalloc() (and free it with kvfree()) so that the allocator can fall back to vmalloc() when a contiguous allocation of that size is not available, which also avoids the MAX_PAGE_ORDER warning entirely. v2: - Rebase to amd-staging-drm-next. CVE-2026-43338 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: reserve enough transaction items for qgroup ioctls Currently our qgroup ioctls don't reserve any space, they just do a transaction join, which does not reserve any space, neither for the quota tree updates nor for the delayed refs generated when updating the quota tree. The quota root uses the global block reserve, which is fine most of the time since we don't expect a lot of updates to the quota root, or to be too close to -ENOSPC such that other critical metadata updates need to resort to the global reserve. However this is not optimal, as not reserving proper space may result in a transaction abort due to not reserving space for delayed refs and then abusing the use of the global block reserve. For example, the following reproducer (which is unlikely to model any real world use case, but just to illustrate the problem), triggers such a transaction abort due to -ENOSPC when running delayed refs: $ cat test.sh #!/bin/bash DEV=/dev/nullb0 MNT=/mnt/nullb0 umount $DEV &> /dev/null # Limit device to 1G so that it's much faster to reproduce the issue. mkfs.btrfs -f -b 1G $DEV mount -o commit=600 $DEV $MNT fallocate -l 800M $MNT/filler btrfs quota enable $MNT for ((i = 1; i <= 400000; i++)); do btrfs qgroup create 1/$i $MNT done umount $MNT When running this, we can see in dmesg/syslog that a transaction abort happened: [436.490] BTRFS error (device nullb0): failed to run delayed ref for logical 30408704 num_bytes 16384 type 176 action 1 ref_mod 1: -28 [436.493] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [436.494] BTRFS: Transaction aborted (error -28) [436.495] WARNING: fs/btrfs/extent-tree.c:2247 at btrfs_run_delayed_refs+0xd9/0x110 [btrfs], CPU#4: umount/2495372 [436.497] Modules linked in: btrfs loop (...) CVE-2026-43310 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: verisilicon: Avoid G2 bus error while decoding H.264 and HEVC For the i.MX8MQ platform, there is a hardware limitation: the g1 VPU and g2 VPU cannot decode simultaneously; otherwise, it will cause below bus error and produce corrupted pictures, even potentially lead to system hang. [ 110.527986] hantro-vpu 38310000.video-codec: frame decode timed out. [ 110.583517] hantro-vpu 38310000.video-codec: bus error detected. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that g1 and g2 operate alternately. This allows for successful multi-instance decoding of H.264 and HEVC. To achieve this, g1 and g2 share the same v4l2_m2m_dev, and then the v4l2_m2m_dev can handle the scheduling.
CVE-2026-80996 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: l2tp: do not propagate multicast notification errors The tunnel create, tunnel modify, session create, and session modify netlink handlers send multicast notifications through helpers that can fail while allocating or encoding a message, or while multicasting it. For tunnel and session create/modify, a notification is sent after the live operation has completed. Returning a best-effort notification error as the command result can therefore report failure for an operation that already committed and can cause callers to retry and accumulate live objects. Keep sending notifications for listener visibility, but do not propagate their best-effort status as the command result. This also keeps the tunnel modify command consistent with the other notification-only paths.
CVE-2026-31677 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: af_alg - limit RX SG extraction by receive buffer budget Make af_alg_get_rsgl() limit each RX scatterlist extraction to the remaining receive buffer budget. af_alg_get_rsgl() currently uses af_alg_readable() only as a gate before extracting data into the RX scatterlist. Limit each extraction to the remaining af_alg_rcvbuf(sk) budget so that receive-side accounting matches the amount of data attached to the request. If skcipher cannot obtain enough RX space for at least one chunk while more data remains to be processed, reject the recvmsg call instead of rounding the request length down to zero.

As for the existing NFT_ITER_UPDATE type, update the pipapo backend to use the existing set clone if available, otherwise use the existing set representation. After this update, there is no need to clone a set that is being deleted, this includes bound anonymous set. An alternative approach to NFT_ITER_UPDATE_CLONE is to add a .clone interface and call it from the flush set path.
CVE-2026-110927 1 Redhat 1 Hummingbird 2026-10-21 4.3 Medium
CVE-2026-110927 has been marked as a duplicate of CVE-2026-106585.
CVE-2026-95859 1 Libp2p 1 Rust-libp2p 2026-10-21 N/A
libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 0.49.5, Gossipsub GRAFT control-message handling unconditionally adds attacker-supplied topic hashes to connected_peer.topics without confirming that the peer previously subscribed to those topics. A remote unauthenticated peer that can reach a Gossipsub listener can repeatedly send novel GRAFT topics, causing cumulative per-peer memory growth that is not bounded by subscription filters, peer scoring, or per-message size limits. This can exhaust process memory and cause a denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.49.5.
CVE-2026-70162 2 Microsoft, Redhat 4 Microsoft Visual Studio 2026 Version 18.10, System.security.cryptography.pkcs, Visual Studio 2022 and 1 more 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
A denial of service vulnerability exists when Microsoft Common Object Runtime Library improperly handles web requests. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause a denial of service against a .NET web application. A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing specially crafted requests to the .NET application. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the .NET web application handles web requests.
CVE-2026-113711 1 Apostrophecms 2 Apostrophecms, Import-export 2026-10-20 7.5 High
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS and 3.7.0 of the import-export module, import routes invoke bigUploadMiddleware without an early authorize callback, allowing unauthenticated requests to perform upload initialization, chunk storage, temporary processing, and attacker-declared cleanup work before the later user check rejects the import. This issue is fixed in ApostropheCMS 4.33.0 and import-export 3.7.0.
CVE-2026-102465 1 Eclipse 1 Vert.x 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the Vert.x Redis client RESP parser pre-allocates arrays to a length declared by the server without enforcing an upper bound. A malicious or compromised Redis server, or an attacker in a man-in-the-middle position, can send a crafted RESP response declaring an extremely large array, push, or attribute length, causing the client to attempt a massive heap allocation. The resulting OutOfMemoryError crashes the Vert.x event loop thread, denying service to all connections and verticles sharing that loop. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-mysql-client.
CVE-2026-102467 1 Eclipse 1 Vert.x 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the WebSocket implementation does not define a maximum number of bytes allocation when decompressing frames or messages. This can be used to implement DDOS attacks with a zip bomb. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-core.
CVE-2026-102475 1 Eclipse 1 Vert.x 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
In Eclipse Vert.x versions [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the HTTP proxy provides a body transformer interceptor that relies on a max buffered bytes limit to ensure a bounded buffer for each request. This can be used to force a server to indefinitely allocate heap. This vulnerability requires to use an intercepting body transformer. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-http-proxy.
CVE-2026-102464 1 Eclipse 1 Vert.x 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the Eclipse Vert.x MQTT (vertx-mqtt) MqttClient stores every inbound QoS 2 PUBLISH message received from the broker in an internal map (qos2inbound) while awaiting the corresponding PUBREL packet to complete the QoS 2 handshake. This map has no size limit; the maxInflightQueue option is enforced only on the outbound publish path and does not constrain inbound message retention. A malicious or compromised MQTT broker can exploit this by sending QoS 2 PUBLISH messages with distinct packet identifiers and withholding the PUBREL responses. Each incomplete handshake causes the client to retain the full publish message (topic, payload, and metadata) indefinitely, leading to unbounded memory growth in the Vert.x process. This can degrade the MQTT-consuming application or cause out-of-memory termination. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-mqtt.
CVE-2026-103223 1 Eclipse 1 Vert.x 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the PostgreSQL message decoder reads the 4-byte message length field from the PostgreSQL wire protocol without any maximum validation. A malicious, compromised, or man-in-the-middle PostgreSQL server can send a message header with the length field set to an extremely large value (up to Integer.MAX_VALUE), causing the decoder to accumulate subsequent TCP data into a composite buffer without bound, leading to unbounded memory allocation on the client and an out-of-memory crash. This occurs before authentication completes. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-pg-client.
CVE-2026-103224 1 Eclipse 1 Vert.x 2026-10-20 5.9 Medium
In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the MySQL message decoder aggregates inbound multi-packet payloads into a composite direct-memory buffer without any cumulative size limit. A malicious, compromised, or man-in-the-middle MySQL server can send a continuous stream of packets with the maximum payload length (0xFFFFFF), preventing the end-of-message condition from being reached, causing unbounded direct-memory allocation on the client and leading to an out-of-memory crash. This occurs before authentication completes. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-mysql-client.
CVE-2026-68498 1 Fasterxml 1 Jackson-core 2026-10-20 7.5 High
StreamReadConstraints.maxNameLength (default 50,000 characters) is intended to bound how much memory a single JSON Object property name can consume while being parsed, independently of the much larger maxStringLength (default 100,000,000 characters) that bounds ordinary string values. For parsers built over character input — Reader, String or char[] sources, all served by ReaderBasedJsonParser — that bound is not applied while the name is being accumulated. The code path instead re-uses the string-value length check, which is roughly 2000x larger by default. In the character-input slow path, ReaderBasedJsonParser._parseName2() accumulates the name into the TextBuffer and, when a segment fills, calls TextBuffer.finishCurrentSegment(), which validates only maxStringLength. The correct check, StreamReadConstraints.validateNameLength(int), is reached afterwards in CharsToNameCanonicalizer.findSymbol(), once the entire name has been scanned to its closing quote. By that point the full name — up to maxStringLength characters — has already been buffered in memory. A remote attacker who can have a single sufficiently long JSON Object property name parsed through this path can force allocation on the order of 100,000,000 characters (approximately 200 MB, with segment bookkeeping pushing real peak usage higher) before any StreamConstraintsException is thrown, instead of the approximately 50,000-character (about 100 KB) bound the API promises. Repeating this across concurrent requests can exhaust the heap and crash the process. No authentication or user interaction is required. Because StreamReadConstraints.maxDocumentLength is disabled by default (-1), nothing else bounds the token first, so the issue is exploitable under default configuration. Byte-input parsers are not affected: UTF8StreamJsonParser, UTF8DataInputJsonParser and the non-blocking (async) parsers re-validate maxNameLength on every growth of the name-decode buffer via ParserBase._growNameDecodeBuffer(), rejecting an oversized name after allocating only tens of kilobytes. Applications are exposed when untrusted JSON is parsed from a String, Reader or char[] — for example an HTTP request body already read into a String — rather than from raw UTF-8 bytes. This issue affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-core from 2.16.0 and tools.jackson.core:jackson-core from 3.0.0. Releases before 2.16.0 are not affected, because StreamReadConstraints.maxNameLength was first introduced in jackson-core 2.16.0.
CVE-2026-35562 4 Amazon, Apple, Linux and 1 more 5 Amazon Athena Odbc Driver, Athena Odbc, Macos and 2 more 2026-10-20 7.5 High
Allocation of resources without limits in the parsing components in Amazon Athena ODBC driver before 2.1.0.0 might allow a threat actor to cause a denial of service by delivering crafted input that triggers excessive resource consumption during the driver's parsing operations. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 2.1.0.0.
CVE-2026-111066 1 Aio-libs 1 Aiohttp 2026-10-20 7.5 High
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. From 2.0.0 until 3.14.4, multipart request processing can retain an unbounded number of open file descriptors. An unauthenticated attacker can consequently exhaust file descriptors with specially crafted multipart requests when a handler uses Request.post(). This issue is fixed in version 3.14.4.
CVE-2026-110249 1 Mozilla 1 Thunderbird 2026-10-20 8.6 High
A malicious, compromised, or MITM-controlled Exchange server can return a single well-formed SOAP response containing an element with enough attributes to keep Thunderbird's main thread CPU-bound for seconds to hours. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 158 and Thunderbird 153.5.
