CVE-2022-48843 2025-12-29 5.5 Medium
This CVE ID has been rejected or withdrawn by its CVE Numbering Authority.
CVE-2024-36953 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: vgic-v2: Check for non-NULL vCPU in vgic_v2_parse_attr() vgic_v2_parse_attr() is responsible for finding the vCPU that matches the user-provided CPUID, which (of course) may not be valid. If the ID is invalid, kvm_get_vcpu_by_id() returns NULL, which isn't handled gracefully. Similar to the GICv3 uaccess flow, check that kvm_get_vcpu_by_id() actually returns something and fail the ioctl if not.
CVE-2024-35796 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ll_temac: platform_get_resource replaced by wrong function The function platform_get_resource was replaced with devm_platform_ioremap_resource_byname and is called using 0 as name. This eventually ends up in platform_get_resource_byname in the call stack, where it causes a null pointer in strcmp. if (type == resource_type(r) && !strcmp(r->name, name)) It should have been replaced with devm_platform_ioremap_resource.
CVE-2022-49730 2025-12-23 7.8 High

CVE-2025-65408 1 Live555 1 Streaming Media 2025-12-23 6.5 Medium
A NULL pointer dereference in the ADTSAudioFileServerMediaSubsession::createNewRTPSink() function of Live555 Streaming Media v2018.09.02 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted ADTS file.
CVE-2022-50024 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: dw-axi-dmac: do not print NULL LLI during error During debugging we have seen an issue where axi_chan_dump_lli() is passed a NULL LLI pointer which ends up causing an OOPS due to trying to get fields from it. Simply print NULL LLI and exit to avoid this.
CVE-2022-49831 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: zoned: initialize device's zone info for seeding When performing seeding on a zoned filesystem it is necessary to initialize each zoned device's btrfs_zoned_device_info structure, otherwise mounting the filesystem will cause a NULL pointer dereference. This was uncovered by fstests' testcase btrfs/163.
CVE-2022-49731 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: fix NULL pointer deref in ata_host_alloc_pinfo() In an unlikely (and probably wrong?) case that the 'ppi' parameter of ata_host_alloc_pinfo() points to an array starting with a NULL pointer, there's going to be a kernel oops as the 'pi' local variable won't get reassigned from the initial value of NULL. Initialize 'pi' instead to '&ata_dummy_port_info' to fix the possible kernel oops for good... Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with the SVACE static analysis tool.
CVE-2022-49707 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: add reserved GDT blocks check We capture a NULL pointer issue when resizing a corrupt ext4 image which is freshly clear resize_inode feature (not run e2fsck). It could be simply reproduced by following steps. The problem is because of the resize_inode feature was cleared, and it will convert the filesystem to meta_bg mode in ext4_resize_fs(), but the es->s_reserved_gdt_blocks was not reduced to zero, so could we mistakenly call reserve_backup_gdb() and passing an uninitialized resize_inode to it when adding new group descriptors. mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda 3G tune2fs -O ^resize_inode /dev/sda #forget to run requested e2fsck mount /dev/sda /mnt resize2fs /dev/sda 8G ======== BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000028 CPU: 19 PID: 3243 Comm: resize2fs Not tainted 5.18.0-rc7-00001-gfde086c5ebfd #748 ... CVE-2022-49544 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipw2x00: Fix potential NULL dereference in libipw_xmit() crypt and crypt->ops could be null, so we need to checking null before dereference
CVE-2022-49538 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: jack: Access input_dev under mutex It is possible when using ASoC that input_dev is unregistered while calling snd_jack_report, which causes NULL pointer dereference. In order to prevent this serialize access to input_dev using mutex lock.
CVE-2022-49532 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: fix NULL pointer dereference in virtio_gpu_conn_get_modes drm_cvt_mode may return NULL and we should check it. CVE-2022-49492 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-pci: fix a NULL pointer dereference in nvme_alloc_admin_tags In nvme_alloc_admin_tags, the admin_q can be set to an error (typically -ENOMEM) if the blk_mq_init_queue call fails to set up the queue, which is checked immediately after the call. However, when we return the error message up the stack, to nvme_reset_work the error takes us to nvme_remove_dead_ctrl() nvme_dev_disable() nvme_suspend_queue(&dev->queues[0]). Here, we only check that the admin_q is non-NULL, rather than not an error or NULL, and begin quiescing a queue that never existed, leading to bad / NULL pointer dereference.
CVE-2022-49472 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phy: micrel: Allow probing without .driver_data Currently, if the .probe element is present in the phy_driver structure and the .driver_data is not, a NULL pointer dereference happens. Allow passing .probe without .driver_data by inserting NULL checks for priv->type.
CVE-2022-49429 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/hfi1: Prevent panic when SDMA is disabled If the hfi1 module is loaded with HFI1_CAP_SDMA off, a call to hfi1_write_iter() will dereference a NULL pointer and panic. A typical stack frame is: sdma_select_user_engine [hfi1] hfi1_user_sdma_process_request [hfi1] hfi1_write_iter [hfi1] do_iter_readv_writev do_iter_write vfs_writev do_writev do_syscall_64 The fix is to test for SDMA in hfi1_write_iter() and fail the I/O with EINVAL.
CVE-2022-49319 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/arm-smmu-v3: check return value after calling platform_get_resource() It will cause null-ptr-deref if platform_get_resource() returns NULL, we need check the return value.
CVE-2022-49307 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: synclink_gt: Fix null-pointer-dereference in slgt_clean() When the driver fails at alloc_hdlcdev(), and then we remove the driver module, we will get the following splat: [ 25.065966] general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000182: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN PTI [ 25.066914] KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000c10-0x0000000000000c17] [ 25.069262] RIP: 0010:detach_hdlc_protocol+0x2a/0x3e0 [ 25.077709] Call Trace: [ 25.077924] <TASK> [ 25.078108] unregister_hdlc_device+0x16/0x30 [ 25.078481] slgt_cleanup+0x157/0x9f0 [synclink_gt] Fix this by checking whether the 'info->netdev' is a null pointer first.
CVE-2022-49302 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: host: isp116x: check return value after calling platform_get_resource() It will cause null-ptr-deref if platform_get_resource() returns NULL, we need check the return value.
CVE-2022-49300 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nbd: fix race between nbd_alloc_config() and module removal When nbd module is being removing, nbd_alloc_config() may be called concurrently by nbd_genl_connect(), although try_module_get() will return false, but nbd_alloc_config() doesn't handle it. The race may lead to the leak of nbd_config and its related resources (e.g, recv_workq) and oops in nbd_read_stat() due to the unload of nbd module as shown below: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000040 Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP PTI CPU: 5 PID: 13840 Comm: kworker/u17:33 Not tainted 5.14.0+ #1 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996) Workqueue: knbd16-recv recv_work [nbd] RIP: 0010:nbd_read_stat.cold+0x130/0x1a4 [nbd] Call Trace: recv_work+0x3b/0xb0 [nbd] process_one_work+0x1ed/0x390 worker_thread+0x4a/0x3d0 kthread+0x12a/0x150 ret_from_fork+0x22/0x30 Fixing it by checking the return value of try_module_get() in nbd_alloc_config(). As nbd_alloc_config() may return ERR_PTR(-ENODEV), assign nbd->config only when nbd_alloc_config() succeeds to ensure the value of nbd->config is binary (valid or NULL). Also adding a debug message to check the reference counter of nbd_config during module removal.
CVE-2022-49139 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: fix null ptr deref on hci_sync_conn_complete_evt This event is just specified for SCO and eSCO link types. On the reception of a HCI_Synchronous_Connection_Complete for a BDADDR of an existing LE connection, LE link type and a status that triggers the second case of the packet processing a NULL pointer dereference happens, as conn->link is NULL.
