gpiolib: fix memory leak in gpiod_set_array_value_complex() on error paths
A drive-by review by Sashiko reports that, after a failed call to
gpiochip_set_multiple(), gpiod_set_array_value() returns abruptly,
bypassing the freeing of possibly alloced bitmaps, potentially leaking
memory. It is an unlikely error path, but is possible.
Defer the return code check until after the bitmap_free() block. |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. From 0.19.0 until 0.32.0, authenticated callers can supply a request chat template when no server-side --chat-template is configured, or a malicious model repository can provide a template that is compiled and rendered by tokenizer.apply_chat_template() without a wall-clock timeout, output-size limit, or iteration bound. Rendering runs in a ThreadPoolExecutor with one worker by default, so a nonterminating render can block /v1/responses and other chat-template users after the request ends, while an output-expanding render can exhaust server memory. Harmony models are not affected because they do not use this Jinja path. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.0. |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. From 0.16.0 until 0.32.0, the /v1/responses endpoint allows an authenticated caller to place an attacker-controlled template in chat_template_kwargs[chat_template] when no server template is configured. ChatParams.get_apply_chat_template_kwargs() preserves that value without enforcing trust_request_chat_template, so the request can bypass the intended trust policy and cause CPU or memory exhaustion through Jinja rendering. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipc: drop the mqueue mount with kern_unmount() on setup failure
mq_init_ns() creates the mqueue mount with fc_mount_longterm(), so its
->mnt_ns is MNT_NS_INTERNAL. When setting up the mqueue or ipc sysctls
or msg_init_ns() fails afterwards, create_ipc_ns() drops it with a plain
mntput(). With ->mnt_ns set that takes the fast path of
mntput_no_expire(). The count drops to zero and nothing ever kills the
mount, so the mount and the mqueue superblock are leaked.
Commit dc55e35f9e81 ("ipc: Store mqueue sysctls in the ipc namespace")
added the first failure path after mq_init_ns() and never dropped the
mount. Commit 7229d74e5e8c ("ipc: create_ipc_ns: drop mqueue mount on
sysctl setup failure") tried to fix that with a mntput() but that
doesn't help for a long-term mount.
Use kern_unmount(). free_ipc() open-codes the same thing for a namespace
that made it. |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. An unprivileged local user can repeatedly request master automount map updates through the autofs responder due to missing authorization checks. This triggers global cache invalidation and forces repeated lookups to backend directory providers, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) from degraded automount availability and elevated resource consumption. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: keep the eviction fence until the last handle is closed
amdgpu_gem_object_close() detaches the user queue eviction fence from
the BO before it checks bo_va->ref_count, so closing any handle of a BO
removes the fence, even when the file still has another handle to the
BO and the bo_va with its GPU mappings stays. The BO can then be evicted
without suspending the user queues of the file, which keep accessing it
through mappings that are only marked for update.
Seen on navi31 with a SDMA user queue: a BO opened twice in the same
file (GEM_FLINK + GEM_OPEN) loses its eviction fence when the second
handle is closed (traced attach/detach of the fence):
attach bo=ffff8c78a6c84c00
GEM_CLOSE handle=7
detach bo=ffff8c78a6c84c00
while handle 6 and the mapping are still in use.
Only detach the fence when the last reference to the bo_va goes away,
matching amdgpu_gem_object_open(), which attaches it only when the
bo_va is created. With this the fence stays until the file is closed.

| Inefficient algorithmic complexity in X.509 distinguished name string conversion (X509Name.ToString and IetfUtilities.ValueToString) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service through CPU exhaustion via a certificate, CRL, certification request or other structure whose name contains a long attribute value made up of characters that must be escaped, such as commas, or of leading or trailing spaces, because each escaping backslash was inserted into the buffer being scanned, so the work grew quadratically with the length of the value. Applications are exposed when they convert such a name to a string, for example to log or display it, or compare it with IetfUtilities.RdnAreEqual, as PKIX path validation does for directoryName name constraints. |

drm/amdgpu: fix GEM object leak on ENOMEM in userptr ioctl
When amdgpu_hmm_range_alloc() fails amdgpu_gem_userptr_ioctl() returns
-ENOMEM right away and skips the cleanup every other error path goes
through. The GEM object, the bo->parent reference on the VM root and the
MMU notifier registration are all left behind.
Use release_object here, not user_pages_done, range is still NULL at
this point.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: free the userptr ranges when a CS fails after parser_bos
amdgpu_cs_parser_bos() allocates an HMM range for every userptr entry of
the BO list and looks up the user pages. Those ranges are only freed when
amdgpu_cs_parser_bos() itself fails or when amdgpu_cs_submit() checks
them under the notifier lock. If amdgpu_cs_patch_jobs(),
amdgpu_cs_vm_handling(), amdgpu_cs_sync_rings() or the early part of
amdgpu_cs_submit() fails, nothing frees them: neither
amdgpu_cs_parser_fini() nor amdgpu_bo_list_free() touch e->range.
Each such CS then leaks the range, its hmm_pfns array (8 bytes per page
of the userptr BO) and the BO reference the range holds. An IB on a ring
that patches the CS in place (e.g. VCN) with an unmapped va_start fails
in amdgpu_cs_patch_ibs() and takes this path.
Free the ranges on those error paths. Ranges amdgpu_cs_submit() already
dropped are NULL, so freeing them again is a no-op.

| A flaw was found in rpcbind. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a large number of unique requests. The rpcbind service records previously unseen RPC (Remote Procedure Call) statistics in unbounded in-memory lists, leading to persistent memory growth and increased CPU usage. This can degrade or exhaust service availability. |

| Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.1.0 until 13.0.0, PdfParser.linearize_page_tree() in src/PIL/PdfParser.py treats a PDF /Pages graph as a tree without tracking duplicate indirect references. When Image.save(..., format="PDF", append=True) processes an attacker-controlled existing PDF whose /Kids arrays repeatedly reference the same child /Pages node, Pillow expands the shared subtree as distinct pages. A compact malformed PDF can therefore create exponentially many page references and consume disproportionate CPU before the append completes. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0. |
| toml-node is a TOML parser for Node.js and the browser. Prior to 5.0.1, toml.parse() repeatedly slices and rejoins every path prefix in lib/compiler.js while processing long dotted keys, table headers, array-of-tables headers, and inline-table keys in assign(), deepRef(), and setNestedKey(). The resulting quadratic work can block the Node.js event loop for several seconds, and sufficiently long paths can terminate the process through memory exhaustion. The maxDepth option does not limit key-segment count and therefore does not mitigate this path. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.1. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.0, an attacker can craft a PDF containing arrays or dictionaries with many elements, causing parsing to consume large amounts of memory. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.0. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in a2ui-project a2ui up to 0.10.6. This impacts an unknown function of the file renderers/web_core/src/v0_9/rendering/data-context.ts of the component data-context Resolver. Such manipulation leads to resource consumption. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The name of the patch is eb314e14fabd29cfb4a74e1202afc4fe2081efa2. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue. |
| Vulnerability in Oracle Essbase (component: Security). The supported version that is affected is 21.8.3.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Essbase. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Essbase. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.3 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L). |
| Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.4.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow performs quadratic copying while parsing GIF comments. GifImageFile._seek() repeatedly appends immutable bytes for comment sub-blocks and multiple comment extensions, and frame zero is parsed during Image.open(). An attacker can submit a small-dimension GIF containing many comment extensions to any application that opens the file. This can consume excessive CPU and deny service before the application can inspect the image. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0. |
| Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 9.2.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow can retain a rejected GIF frame size after a decompression-bomb exception. In GifImageFile._seek, a crafted GIF can leave rejected dimensions stored after Image.DecompressionBombError; if an application catches that exception and continues processing the same image object, later seek or load operations allocate according to those dimensions and can exhaust memory, denying service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0. |
