CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in WildFly Elytron. Password hashing and verification normalize input with Unicode NFKC, which can collapse fullwidth characters to ASCII equivalents. A remote attacker can more easily guess affected passwords by using an ASCII-only dictionary against accounts whose passwords were intended to include those non-ASCII characters, leading to unauthorized access. |
| In Eclipse Jetty, across various versions of `jetty-server`, and `jetty-proxy`, the host whitelist/blacklist is case-sensitive, and would allow hosts through that only differ by case. |
| When Gitea's built-in SSH server is enabled (`START_SSH_SERVER = true`), the presented public key was looked up with an SQL `LIKE` comparison of its encoded content, which is case-insensitive on some databases, including the default SQLite. An attacker who can construct a case variant of another user's registered RSA public key for which they can derive the private key could have that key matched to the victim's account and authenticate over SSH as that user. Keys are now looked up by fingerprint. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock: fix buffer size clamping order
In vsock_update_buffer_size(), the buffer size was being clamped to the
maximum first, and then to the minimum. If a user sets a minimum buffer
size larger than the maximum, the minimum check overrides the maximum
check, inverting the constraint.
This breaks the intended socket memory boundaries by allowing the
vsk->buffer_size to grow beyond the configured vsk->buffer_max_size.
Fix this by checking the minimum first, and then the maximum. This
ensures the buffer size never exceeds the buffer_max_size. |
| SQLite 'sqldiff.exe' does not securely handle the way the Microsoft Windows C runtime converts Unicode characters to ANSI codepages. An attacker could use the '-L' option to load an arbitrary DLL with a crafted command line argument string that results in command line file arguments being misinterpreted as command line options. Fixed on or around 2025-12-26. |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response during a TLS handshake. Due to a logic error in how gnutls processes multi-record OCSP responses, a client with OCSP verification enabled may incorrectly accept a revoked server certificate, potentially leading to a compromise of trust. |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. This vulnerability occurs because gnutls performs case-sensitive comparisons of `nameConstraints` labels, specifically for `dNSName` (DNS) or `rfc822Name` (email) constraints within `excludedSubtrees` or `permittedSubtrees`. A remote attacker can exploit this by crafting a leaf certificate with casing differences in the Subject Alternative Name (SAN), leading to a policy bypass where a certificate that should be rejected is instead accepted. This could result in unauthorized access or information disclosure. |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. Servers configured with RSA-PSK (Rivest–Shamir–Adleman – Pre-Shared Key) wrongfully matched usernames containing a NUL character with truncated usernames. A remote attacker could exploit this by sending a specially crafted username, leading to an authentication bypass. This vulnerability allows an attacker to gain unauthorized access by circumventing the authentication process. |
| The curl URL parser wrongly accepts percent-encoded URL separators like '/'when decoding the host name part of a URL, making it a *different* URL usingthe wrong host name when it is later retrieved. For example, a URL like `http://example.com%2F127.0.0.1/`, would be allowed bythe parser and get transposed into `http://example.com/127.0.0.1/`. This flawcan be used to circumvent filters, checks and more. |
| xmlparse.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.5 allows attackers to insert namespace-separator characters into namespace URIs. |
| An arbitrary file write vulnerability was found in GNU gzip's zgrep utility. When zgrep is applied on the attacker's chosen file name (for example, a crafted file name), this can overwrite an attacker's content to an arbitrary attacker-selected file. This flaw occurs due to insufficient validation when processing filenames with two or more newlines where selected content and the target file names are embedded in crafted multi-line file names. This flaw allows a remote, low privileged attacker to force zgrep to write arbitrary files on the system. |
| Python 2.7.x through 2.7.16 and 3.x through 3.7.2 is affected by: Improper Handling of Unicode Encoding (with an incorrect netloc) during NFKC normalization. The impact is: Information disclosure (credentials, cookies, etc. that are cached against a given hostname). The components are: urllib.parse.urlsplit, urllib.parse.urlparse. The attack vector is: A specially crafted URL could be incorrectly parsed to locate cookies or authentication data and send that information to a different host than when parsed correctly. This is fixed in: v2.7.17, v2.7.17rc1, v2.7.18, v2.7.18rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.7, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.3, v3.7.3rc1, v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9. |
| A security regression of CVE-2019-9636 was discovered in python since commit d537ab0ff9767ef024f26246899728f0116b1ec3 affecting versions 2.7, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and from v3.8.0a4 through v3.8.0b1, which still allows an attacker to exploit CVE-2019-9636 by abusing the user and password parts of a URL. When an application parses user-supplied URLs to store cookies, authentication credentials, or other kind of information, it is possible for an attacker to provide specially crafted URLs to make the application locate host-related information (e.g. cookies, authentication data) and send them to a different host than where it should, unlike if the URLs had been correctly parsed. The result of an attack may vary based on the application. |
| Dell Command | Configure (DCC), versions prior to 5.2.3.35, contain an Improper Handling of Mixed Encoding vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of Privileges. |
| Open Computer Use through 1.0.0 on macOS contains an improper case sensitivity handling vulnerability that allows local MCP callers to bypass the password-manager denylist using case-variant bundle identifiers. Attackers, including prompt-injected model turns, can pass identifiers like com.1Password.1Password to get_app_state and action tools to read accessibility trees, capture screenshots, and drive unlocked password manager interfaces. |
| OWASP Coraza WAF is a golang modsecurity compatible web application firewall library. From 3.0.0 until 3.8.0, the t:jsDecode transformation in internal/transformations/js_decode.go:64-70 includes the backslash in the octal buffer, causing ParseInt to fail and return a null byte. The flaw is triggered when a rule relies on t:jsDecode and the request contains JavaScript octal escape sequences. An unauthenticated attacker can encode attack syntax with JavaScript octal escapes so the backend decodes the intended bytes while Coraza rules using t:jsDecode inspect corrupted null-byte output. The mismatch can bypass WAF rules and expose the protected application to attacks such as cross-site scripting or SQL injection. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.0. |
| Hono from 4.12.4 before 4.13.11 contains a middleware bypass vulnerability in serveStatic that allows unauthenticated attackers to skip prefix middleware by exploiting double path decoding. Attackers can send malformed percent-encoded paths that the router matches in encoded form, reaching static files without authentication checks running. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.3.1, 3.4.1, 4.0.3 and 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by scaffolder action input authorization bypass. An authenticated user with access to affected Scaffolder templates could bypass configured action restrictions. Depending on integration credentials, this could grant unauthorized access to repositories and related source-control resources. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.1, 3.4.1, 4.0.3 and 4.1.0. |
| The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.36.0, ValueReader.readShortstr decodes malformed UTF-8 bytes into replacement characters that can re-encode beyond the AMQP shortstr limit enforced by ValueWriter.writeShortstr. An attacker who can submit an RPC message with a malformed echoed property can cause reply publication in RpcServer.mainloop() or tutorial-style consumers to throw an unchecked exception before acknowledgement. The broker requeues the message, allowing the same message to disable replacement consumers until the queue is purged. This issue is fixed in version 5.36.0. |
| Improper Handling of Unicode Encoding vulnerability in the SmtpPickupDirAppender of Apache log4net.
Content that the mail file writer cannot encode, such as an unpaired UTF-16 surrogate, made the write throw. Every buffered event in the batch was discarded, not only the one carrying the content, and a truncated mail could be left in the pickup directory. A party whose data reaches a log message could suppress the records of other events. Only applications that use SmtpPickupDirAppender are affected.
This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.9 before 3.5.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue. |
