CVSS v3.1 |
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.0, an attacker can craft a PDF containing arrays or dictionaries with many elements, causing parsing to consume large amounts of memory. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.0.
A security vulnerability has been detected in a2ui-project a2ui up to 0.10.6. This impacts an unknown function of the file renderers/web_core/src/v0_9/rendering/data-context.ts of the component data-context Resolver. Such manipulation leads to resource consumption. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The name of the patch is eb314e14fabd29cfb4a74e1202afc4fe2081efa2. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue.
Vulnerability in Oracle Essbase (component: Security). The supported version that is affected is 21.8.3.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Essbase. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Essbase. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.3 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L).
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.4.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow performs quadratic copying while parsing GIF comments. GifImageFile._seek() repeatedly appends immutable bytes for comment sub-blocks and multiple comment extensions, and frame zero is parsed during Image.open(). An attacker can submit a small-dimension GIF containing many comment extensions to any application that opens the file. This can consume excessive CPU and deny service before the application can inspect the image. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 9.2.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow can retain a rejected GIF frame size after a decompression-bomb exception. In GifImageFile._seek, a crafted GIF can leave rejected dimensions stored after Image.DecompressionBombError; if an application catches that exception and continues processing the same image object, later seek or load operations allocate according to those dimensions and can exhaust memory, denying service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
Tanium addressed a compression bomb vulnerability in Enforce.
Abusing the federated share endpoint, an attacker can write arbitrary rows into the oc_share_external database table. These rows persist indefinitely — there is no automatic cleanup mechanism. Three distinct denial-of-service conditions follow from this write primitive, all triggered from the same unauthenticated source and all self-renewing on a 24-hour cycle for as long as the injected rows remain in the database.
Tanium addressed an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in Enforce.
Tanium addressed an infinite loop vulnerability in Threat Response Client Extension.
Go JOSE provides an implementation of the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption set of standards in Go, including support for JSON Web Encryption (JWE), JSON Web Signature (JWS), and JSON Web Token (JWT) standards. Prior to 4.1.6, go-jose parses attacker-controlled RSA modulus and prime values from JWKs without enforcing size and consistency bounds before passing them to crypto/rsa.PrivateKey.Validate. On Go 1.24 and later, crafted large or degenerate RSA parameters can make that validation consume cubic CPU time, allowing remote denial of service in applications that parse JWKs from untrusted sources. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.6.
Autobahn Python is a WebSocket and WAMP implementation for Python that supports Twisted and asyncio. From 26.7.1 until 26.10.1, PerMessageBrotli.decompress_message_data in compress_brotli.py calls the Brotli decompressor without an output limit and checks maxMessagePayloadSize only after a complete frame has been inflated. An unauthenticated WebSocket client can send a small, highly compressed frame that allocates hundreds of MiB before rejection, causing memory-exhaustion denial of service on servers that enable the opt-in permessage-brotli feature through the compress extra. Deflate and bzip2 already enforce the remaining output budget and are outside this residual vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.1.
Tornado is a Python web framework and asynchronous networking library. Prior to 6.6.0, Tornado decodes HTTP/1.1 chunked transfer encoding by processing body data that has already arrived without yielding to the event loop. A remote unauthenticated peer can send millions of one-byte chunks to monopolize the process event loop and stall every other connection served by that process, while lowering max_body_size only limits the duration of each request. For handlers that do not use @stream_request_body, retaining each chunk as a separate object can consume roughly twenty times the received body size, and SimpleAsyncHTTPClient has the same event-loop behavior when reading a response from a malicious server. This issue is fixed in version 6.6.0.
Semantic MediaWiki from 2.5.0 before 7.3.1 contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability that allows anonymous attackers to force quadratic computation by supplying a zero limit to Special:PropertyLabelSimilarity. Attackers can send repeated requests with limit=0 to bypass the SQL LIMIT and trigger pairwise similar_text() comparisons, exhausting PHP CPU, memory, and database connections.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 9.2.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow performs quadratic copying when saving a GIF with a long comment. _get_global_header() repeatedly copies portions of comment data while assembling the global header, including comments retained from an untrusted input image. An attacker can supply an image with a large GIF comment to an application that saves it as GIF. This can consume excessive CPU and delay or deny service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 4.1.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow's MSP RLE decoder can expand a small file into an unbounded in-memory buffer. The decoder writes run-length output to BytesIO without limiting expansion to the declared image size. An attacker can supply a crafted MSP image to an application that loads its pixels. This can exhaust memory and deny service even when the declared pixel count passes the decompression-bomb check. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.1.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow takes quadratic time to reserve PDF object identifiers when saving many frames with save_all enabled. PdfParser.next_object_id() repeatedly rebuilds and scans all previously reserved identifiers for every object. An attacker can supply a multi-frame image, including a small APNG with a large declared frame count, to an application that converts it to a multipage PDF. This can consume excessive CPU and deny service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
A weakness has been identified in a2aproject a2a-java up to 1.2.0.Final. This affects the function InMemoryPushNotificationConfigStore.setInfo of the file extras/push-notification-config-store-database-jpa/src/main/java/org/a2aproject/sdk/extras/pushnotificationconfigstore/database/jpa/JpaDatabasePushNotificationConfigStore.java of the component Push Notification Config Store. Executing a manipulation can lead to resource consumption. The attack can be launched remotely. Upgrading to version 1.3.0.Final mitigates this issue. This patch is called b478810a03b4a16841d36aca5c6e87d8f48fce67. You should upgrade the affected component.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 11.0.0 until 13.0.0, Exif.load() in src/PIL/Image.py repeatedly slices the remaining EXIF data while it begins with the six-byte Exif header. src/PIL/PngImagePlugin.py accepts an uncapped PNG eXIf chunk, so a file filled with repeated headers causes a new shrinking copy on every iteration and quadratic CPU work. The condition is reachable through Image.getexif(), Image._getexif(), and ImageOps.exif_transpose(), including common photo-upload rotation workflows. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 9.1.0 until 13.0.0, BmpRleDecoder.decode() in src/PIL/BmpImagePlugin.py permits crafted RLE BMP delta escapes and absolute-mode runs to append beyond the remaining dest_length without a per-branch cap. A delta can add roughly 255 image rows in one iteration, so a kilobyte-sized file with a large but permitted width can expand the data bytearray to hundreds of megabytes or more, causing memory-exhaustion denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, SpiderImageFile.seek() in src/PIL/SpiderImagePlugin.py reparses a later SPIDER stack frame and replaces self._size without rerunning Image._decompression_bomb_check(). A tiny file can use a safe first frame to pass Image.open() and then declare very large dimensions in a later mode F frame. Loading that frame allocates approximately four bytes per attacker-declared pixel and can consume multiple gigabytes of memory. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
