CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: bpf: prevent buffer overflow in hid_hw_request
right now the returned value is considered to be always valid. However,
when playing with HID-BPF, the return value can be arbitrary big,
because it's the return value of dispatch_hid_bpf_raw_requests(), which
calls the struct_ops and we have no guarantees that the value makes
sense. |
| A flaw has been found in ztxz16 fastllm up to 1.8.2. Affected by this issue is the function SafeTensorItem::CreateBuffer of the file src/model.cpp of the component Safetensors Weight Loading. This manipulation of the argument data_offsets causes buffer overflow. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: reject oversized TX packets in send_frame()
btintel_pcie_send_frame() eventually copies skb->data into a fixed
BTINTEL_PCIE_BUFFER_SIZE (4096) DMA buffer via memcpy() in
btintel_pcie_prepare_tx(), with a 4-byte PCIe type header prepended.
A user-space process with HCI_CHANNEL_USER access can inject an
oversized packet and overflow the buffer.
Reject packets larger than
BTINTEL_PCIE_BUFFER_SIZE - BTINTEL_PCIE_HCI_TYPE_LEN on entry. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: usb: sr9700: include receive overhead in the length check
The receive fixup subtracts the Ethernet CRC from the reported packet
length, but compares that payload length against the whole remaining
receive buffer. The following copy starts after the three-byte header,
and the cursor advance consumes both that header and the four-byte CRC.
Require the payload to fit after SR_RX_OVERHEAD before copying it or
advancing to the next packet. The loop already ensures that the
remaining buffer is larger than the overhead, so the subtraction is
safe.
The issue was found by our static-analysis tool. |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in madmurphy libconfini v.1.16.4 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via an allocation-size mismatch between its bundled load_ini_buffer utility and strip_ini_cache() |
| RIOT is an open-source microcontroller operating system designed for Internet of Things devices and other embedded systems. Prior to 2026.04, the ATWINC15x0 driver's _atwinc15x0_sta_set_current_ssid function uses strcpy to copy an SSID without checking the destination size. When MODULE_ATWINC15X0_DYNAMIC_CONNECT is enabled, a nearby attacker can advertise a malformed or oversized SSID that is processed during Wi-Fi scanning, causing memory corruption and potentially a hard fault, denial of service, or code execution. This issue is fixed in version 2026.04. |
| A Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') vulnerability in the SDK service process of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an unauthenticated network attacker to cause a denial of service or compromise the Routing Engine by sending specific packets when the SDK service and a JDAF routing instance are enabled. |
| A buffer copy without checking size of input vulnerability has been reported to affect Qsync Central. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to modify memory or crash processes.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version:
Qsync Central 5.0.0.4 and later |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ceph: bound copied dentry name length in NFS export get_name
ceph_get_name() copies the MDS-supplied name into the caller's
NAME_MAX-sized buffer with memcpy(name, rinfo->dname, rinfo->dname_len)
and then writes name[rinfo->dname_len] = 0, without checking dname_len
against NAME_MAX. A malicious or buggy MDS that returns a LOOKUPNAME reply
with dname_len > NAME_MAX overflows the buffer. __get_snap_name() copies
rde->name / rde->name_len the same unchecked way.
Impact: a malicious or compromised Ceph MDS overflows the NAME_MAX name
buffer in a client's NFS-export get_name path, a slab out-of-bounds write
reported by KASAN. Reachable when a CephFS mount is re-exported over NFS.
Add ceph_export_copy_name(), which rejects lengths above NAME_MAX with
-ENAMETOOLONG before the copy, and use it in both ceph_get_name() and
__get_snap_name(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Input: synaptics-rmi4 - fix F55 transmitter electrode count typo
During F55 sensor detection, the transmitter (TX) electrode count was
incorrectly assigned the value of the receiver (RX) electrode count
due to copy-paste typos.
This incorrect value was then propagated to the driver data and used
by F54 to determine the diagnostics report size. On devices with more
RX than TX electrodes, this inflated the perceived TX count, leading
to incorrect report size calculations and potential out-of-bounds
buffer accesses.
Fix the typos by correctly assigning the TX electrode counts. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fbdev: bound mode sysfs output to the sysfs buffer
mode_string() uses snprintf() which can return a value larger than the
remaining buffer space. show_modes() accumulates the return value into i
without checking whether i has reached PAGE_SIZE, causing the offset to
advance past the sysfs buffer if the modelist is long enough.
Add a size parameter to mode_string() and use scnprintf() to return
only the bytes actually written. Add an early return when offset
already exceeds the buffer. In show_modes(), stop accumulating once
the buffer is full. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/atm: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in vcc_setsockopt()
vcc_setsockopt() contained an ineffective optlen check:
if (__SO_LEVEL_MATCH(optname, level) && optlen != __SO_SIZE(optname))
return -EINVAL;
If __SO_LEVEL_MATCH(optname, level) evaluated to false (e.g. if the caller
passed a mismatched level), the length check optlen != __SO_SIZE(optname)
was short-circuited and bypassed. Execution then fell through to switch(optname),
calling copy_from_sockptr() assuming optval contained sufficient space.
Furthermore, even if level matched, a cgroup BPF setsockopt filter could shrink
optlen after entry. Because copy_from_sockptr() on kernel pointers uses memcpy(),
this leads to a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds read when optlen is smaller than the
expected structure size.
Fix this by using copy_safe_from_sockptr(), which unconditionally validates
that optlen is at least the expected size before copying. Also change the local
'value' variable type from 'unsigned long' to 'int' so that SO_SETCLP matches
its sizeof(int) ABI encoding on 64-bit systems. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
staging: rtl8723bs: fix missing shared-key auth challenge length check
The WEP shared-key authentication handler uses the challenge-text
element's attacker-controlled length without checking it against the
fixed 128-byte chg_txt buffer.
In OnAuthClient() the length from rtw_get_ie() - up to 255 - is used
to perform memcpy() into the 128-byte pmlmeinfo->chg_txt, so a
malicious AP sending a malformed WLAN_EID_CHALLENGE element can
overflow/underfill chg_txt by up to 127 bytes. It is reachable over the
air, before association, during shared-key authentication. In the case
of an overflow, the driver can write out of bounds. In the case of an
underfill, the driver can echo stale buffer memory.
The challenge text is defined to be exactly 128 octets, which is
already provided as the WLAN_AUTH_CHALLENGE_LEN define; require the
element to be exactly that length before use. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: libiscsi_tcp: Bound SCSI Response data segment to the connection buffer
iscsi_tcp_hdr_dissect() receives the data segment of several PDU types
into the fixed-size conn->data buffer, which is allocated for
ISCSI_DEF_MAX_RECV_SEG_LEN (8192) bytes. For the LOGIN_RSP, TEXT_RSP,
REJECT and ASYNC_EVENT opcodes the dissect path already rejects a PDU
whose DataSegmentLength exceeds that buffer.
The SCSI Command Response (ISCSI_OP_SCSI_CMD_RSP) path also copies its
data segment (sense/response data) into conn->data via
iscsi_tcp_data_recv_prep(), but it does so without the same check. The
only upstream bound on in.datalen is conn->max_recv_dlength, the
initiator's advertised MaxRecvDataSegmentLength, which is commonly
negotiated well above 8192 (open-iscsi defaults to 262144). A target
that returns a SCSI Response with a DataSegmentLength between 8193 and
max_recv_dlength therefore overflows the 8192-byte conn->data buffer.
Once the same bound applies, ISCSI_OP_SCSI_CMD_RSP is handled exactly
like those responses: bound the data segment, receive it into conn->data
when present, and otherwise complete the PDU with no data. Fold the
opcode into that case group rather than duplicating the check. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: SOF: ipc3-control: Validate size in snd_sof_update_control
In snd_sof_update_control(), firmware-provided cdata->num_elems is
checked against local_cdata->data->size but never against the actual
allocation size. If local_cdata->data->size was previously set to an
inconsistent value, the memcpy could write past the allocated buffer.
Add a bounds check to ensure num_elems fits within the available space
in the ipc_control_data allocation before copying. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs3: bound to_move in indx_insert_into_root before hdr_insert_head
indx_insert_into_root() promotes a full resident $INDEX_ROOT into
$INDEX_ALLOCATION and copies all non-last resident root entries into
a newly allocated INDEX_BUFFER via hdr_insert_head(). The source
byte count 'to_move' is summed from the on-disk resident entry sizes
and is independent of the destination buffer size, which comes from
root->index_block_size (via indx->index_bits).
A crafted NTFS image that keeps a valid, full resident root but
shrinks root->index_block_size down to 512 after the root has been
populated makes hdr_insert_head() memcpy attacker-controlled resident
entry bytes past the end of the kmalloc(1u << indx->index_bits)
allocation returned by indx_new(). For a 512-byte destination and a
resident root whose non-last entries total 560 bytes, the memcpy
overruns by 120 bytes and a following memmove extends the highest
written offset to 136 bytes past the allocation. The overflow bytes
are a direct copy of on-disk entries (via kmemdup), so they are
fully attacker-controlled.
The write is reachable from unprivileged open(O_CREAT) on a mounted
crafted NTFS image: a single sufficiently long create in a directory
whose resident root is already full forces root promotion and
triggers the copy.
This is a controlled out-of-bounds write of 120-136 bytes past a
kmalloc(index_block_size) allocation, with attacker-controlled
content. It is a bounded adjacent-heap corruption primitive; it is
not an arbitrary-address write. Successful exploitation into a named
victim object depends on the surrounding slab layout.
Reject the copy at the sink. The destination's INDEX_HDR already
reports hdr_total (the payload capacity of the new buffer) and
hdr_used (the bytes already consumed by the terminal END entry
installed by indx_new()); require that to_move fits in the remaining
payload before calling hdr_insert_head(). On mismatch, fail with
-EINVAL and mark the filesystem as having a detected on-disk
inconsistency, which is the same behaviour as the surrounding
validation in this function. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cpu: hotplug: Bound hotplug states sysfs output
states_show() adds CPU hotplug state names into a single sysfs buffer
using sprintf(). With enough registered states, this can write past the
end of the PAGE_SIZE buffer.
Use sysfs_emit_at() so output is bounded. |
| Misuse and misconfiguration in Bluetooth communication in SwitchBot Door Lock Series allows an attacker to bypass the electronic lock and access controls via a manipulated communication protocol. |
| A vulnerability was detected in turboderp ExLlamaV2 up to 0.3.2. Affected is the function STFile.get_tensor of the file exllamav2/stloader.py of the component Safetensors Tensor Loader. Performing a manipulation of the argument data_offsets results in buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| A flaw has been found in Edimax BR-6208AC 1.32. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /goform/formWlSiteSurvey. This manipulation of the argument ifname causes buffer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
