CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: tipd: fix uninitialized typec_partner_desc in cd321x_update_work()
cd321x_update_work() passes a stack-allocated typec_partner_desc to
typec_register_partner() after initializing only usb_pd, accessory and
identity.
typec_register_partner() copies attach and deattach from the descriptor
into the partner. With those fields left unset, garbage function pointers
may be stored and later invoked from typec_partner_link_device() when a USB
device is linked to the port. Uninitialized pd_revision and usb_capability
similarly leak stack data through partner sysfs.
Zero-initialize the descriptor so optional callbacks remain NULL and the
remaining fields are zero. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: fix port tear down use-after-free
Some drivers for multiport devices access port driver data from
completion handlers of shared URBs submitted at attach() or first open()
and stopped at disconnect() or last close(), respectively.
A simple NULL check before accessing the driver data makes sure that a
port state container has at least been allocated, but a completion
handler can still race with port tear down.
Reorder the disconnect handling so that ports are not deregistered (and
their driver data freed) until after all ports have been hung up and the
driver disconnect() callback has run so that all I/O has been stopped. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: aspeed-vhub: cancel wake work on device removal
wake_work is armed from the gadget .wakeup callback to resume suspended
downstream ports, and it is never cancelled in ast_vhub_remove(), so a
work item queued before or during removal can run after devm has freed
vhub and its ports, a use-after-free.
Cancelling the work alone is not sufficient: usb_gadget_wakeup() takes
no lock and the unbind path never clears wakeup_en, so a remote-wakeup
request in flight on another CPU can re-arm the work after the cancel
and before vhub is freed.
ast_vhub_del_dev() already clears d->registered under vhub->lock before
unregistering the gadget. Refuse the wakeup in ast_vhub_udc_wakeup()
once d->registered is clear: the check and the schedule_work() are then
atomic against the unbind, so a wakeup that passed before the flag was
cleared is drained by the cancel_work_sync() after the del_dev loop,
and one that arrives later returns without arming. Also move INIT_WORK()
to the top of ast_vhub_probe(), since the probe error path reuses
ast_vhub_remove() and would otherwise cancel a never-initialized work
item.
This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool. |
| Use after free in PerformanceAPIs in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
binder: fix is_failure flag for superseded transaction cleanup
When a TF_UPDATE_TXN transaction supersedes a pending async transaction,
binder_release_entire_buffer() is called with is_failure=false. Since the
superseded transaction was never delivered, binder_apply_fd_fixups() was
never called and no fds were installed in the target process.
With is_failure=false, the BINDER_TYPE_FDA cleanup handler interprets
stale buffer contents as installed fd numbers and passes them to
binder_deferred_fd_close(), closing unrelated file descriptors.
Pass is_failure=true since the transaction was never delivered to the
target, matching the semantics of all other undelivered-transaction
cleanup paths. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows Kernel allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Local privilege escalation in Checkmk 2.5.0p14 allows a local user with write access to the Oracle client library directory of an Oracle home listed in the 'oratab' file or to the 'oratab' file itself to execute code as root if an agent has the 'mk-oracle' plugin enabled. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: ISO: fix refcounting of iso_conn
iso_conn_del() and iso_chan_del() have a race that results to double-put
of iso_conn:
[Task hdev->workqueue] [Task 2]
iso_conn_del iso_chan_del
iso_conn_hold_unless_zero iso_conn_lock
iso_conn_lock conn->sk = NULL
iso_conn_unlock
sk = iso_sock_hold(conn) <---------ยด
if (!sk) iso_conn_put iso_conn_put
iso_conn_put /* UAF */
The extra put for !sk in iso_conn_del() is currently required since
failing iso_chan_add() may leave iso_conn not associated with any sk.
Fix by having iso_pi(sk)->conn own refcount when non-NULL, so
iso_conn_del does not need to put it. Adjust the iso_conn_add()
refcounting so that conn is put if it does not get associated with an
sk. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: shut down RX BA session timer on teardown
Tearing down an RX BA session can leave the session timer queued on a
freed tid_rx. Later timer-wheel processing and the timer callback itself
then run against freed memory.
An RX BAR handler can dereference tid_rx under RCU before teardown
unpublishes it and stay in its read-side critical section while teardown
deletes the session timer. The stale handler can then rearm the timer
after timer_delete_sync() returns and before the RCU callback frees
tid_rx.
Use timer_shutdown_sync() so rearm attempts become ineffective once
teardown starts. Keep reorder_timer unchanged: teardown marks the session
removed under reorder_lock and its release path checks that state before
rearming. session_timer has no equivalent guard because
ieee80211_rx_h_ctrl() rearms it before taking reorder_lock. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: vgic: Take a refcount on IRQs referenced by last_lr_irq
Referencing the last interrupt inserted in an LR is rather fragile, as
this interrupt can vanish if a concurrently unmapped LPI.
Solve this by bumping up the refcount on the interrupt when populating
last_lr_irq, and drop it at vgic_prune_ap_list() time, when LPIs are
being reclaimed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: fix use-after-free in nfc_get_local_general_bytes
Commit 6709d4b7bc2e ("net: nfc: Fix use-after-free caused by
nfc_llcp_find_local") attempted to fix a use-after-free (UAF) issue by
invoking nfc_llcp_local_put(local) after accessing local->gb. However,
if the reference count drops to zero, local is freed immediately,
leading to a use-after-free when callers access the returned pointer.
Alternative approaches using dynamic allocation (e.g. kmemdup) introduced
memory leaks because callers consistently treat the returned pointer as
borrowed memory.
Fix this properly by refactoring nfc_llcp_general_bytes() and
nfc_get_local_general_bytes() to accept a caller-provided output buffer
(out_gb) and its maximum length (gb_max_len). The general bytes are
safely copied into out_gb before calling nfc_llcp_local_put(local),
ensuring safe lifetime management without ownership transfer complications.
Update all callers across drivers (microread, pn533, pn544, st21nfca,
digital_dep, and nci) to provide their own destination buffers and pass
them to nfc_get_local_general_bytes(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/virtio: release the GEM object on virtio_gpu_vram_create() errors
virtio_gpu_vram_create() frees the object with a bare kfree(vram) on
both error paths after drm_gem_private_object_init() has run, and on the
second one after drm_gem_create_mmap_offset() has linked obj->vma_node
into the device's VMA offset manager. The freed object stays in that
interval tree, so a later lookup or insertion walks freed memory, and
the dma_resv and gpuva lock are never destroyed.
Call drm_gem_object_release() before kfree() on both paths. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
eth: fbnic: use the Rx queue napi pointer to find the napi vector
The queue management ndos pick the napi vector for an Rx queue with:
nv = fbn->napi[idx % fbn->num_napi];
The issue is this is only correct in the cases where there are no
standalone Tx vectors. In those cases we were allocating the Tx vectors
first and then the Rx so the queues would be pointing to Tx NAPI vectors
instead of the Rx ones.
The mapping the ndos want is already recorded. fbnic_set_netif_napi()
publishes it with netif_queue_set_napi(), which stores the napi pointer
in netdev_rx_queue.napi, and fbnic_reset_netif_napi() clears it again.
Both run under the netdev instance lock that the queue management ndos
also hold, so the pointer can be read directly.
Use it and drop the divide. The pointer is NULL exactly while the
datapath is down, so fbnic_queue_mem_alloc() can reject that case rather
than reaching into freed state: netdev_rx_queue_restart() calls it
before it tests netif_running(), and fbnic_pm_suspend() leaves
netif_running() true across a PCIe recovery that never completes, so a
queue restart can arrive after fbnic_stop() has freed the rings and the
vectors. fbnic_stop() clears the association in
fbnic_reset_netif_queues() before fbnic_free_napi_vectors(), so the
NULL is always published first. fbnic_queue_start() and
fbnic_queue_stop() need no check of their own, as
netdev_rx_queue_reconfig() only reaches them once fbnic_queue_mem_alloc()
has succeeded under the same instance lock. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: flowtable: publish HW_DEAD after worker is done
flow_offload_work_del() sets NF_FLOW_HW_DEAD before the work handler
clears NF_FLOW_HW_PENDING. Once a flow is both HW_DYING and HW_DEAD, a
concurrent garbage collection pass can remove it and schedule it for RCU
freeing.
The offload worker holds neither an RCU read lock nor a reference to the
flow. If it is preempted after publishing HW_DEAD, the RCU callback can
free the flow before the worker resumes and clears HW_PENDING, resulting
in a use-after-free.
Move HW_DEAD publication to the common worker epilogue after the pending
bit is cleared, making it the final flow access by destroy work. Order all
preceding flow accesses before publishing the bit that allows garbage
collection to free the object. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: gyro: adis16136: fix unprotected debugfs reads
The serial_number file operations are open coded and never call
debugfs_file_get(), which debugfs_create_file_unsafe() requires.
debugfs_remove_recursive() therefore does not wait for a read in
progress, and unbind frees the iio_dev underneath it.
Use debugfs_create_file() instead. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: frequency: adf4377: Fully initialize clk_init_data and clk_parent_data
The clk_init_data structure contains several mutually-exclusive members
for different methods to specify the possible parents of a clock,
prompting drivers to initialize only the members they need. However,
not initializing all members may cause subtle issues, which are only
exposed when CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_PATTERN or CONFIG_INIT_STACK_NONE is
enabled.
adf4377_clk_register() fills in init.parent_data, and assumes that
init.parent_names is NULL. However, the latter is uninitialized, and
thus may cause a crash.
Similarly, adf4377_clk_register() fills in only parent_data.fw_name,
leaving other members of the clk_parent_data structure uninitialized.
Make sure all members are fully initialized, to fix such bugs, and to
avoid future breakage when converting drivers to a different method for
specifying the parents. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Skip cond_resched() in inet_csk_listen_stop() under BPF context
bpf_sock_destroy() runs from the tcp iterator, under rcu_read_lock(). If
the sock is a listener that still has children in its accept queue,
tcp_abort() ends up in inet_csk_listen_stop() and the cond_resched()
there trips the debug check:

The commit that added the kfunc already guards lock_sock() in tcp_abort()
and udp_abort() with has_current_bpf_ctx(), but missed the listener path.
Do the same for the cond_resched(). The loop runs inside the iterator's
rcu_read_lock(), it must not reschedule or report a quiescent state there. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: mgmt: Dequeue pending mesh_send_sync entries on cancel
In send_cancel(), pending mesh_tx objects are removed from the
hdev->mesh_pending list and freed via mesh_send_complete(). However, if
a mesh transmission was already queued onto hdev->cmd_sync_work_list via
mesh_next(), the queued entry retains a raw pointer to mesh_tx.
When hci_cmd_sync_work later processes the entry, it attempts to execute
mesh_send_sync and its destroy callback mesh_send_start_complete using
the already freed mesh_tx pointer, leading to a use-after-free.
Fix this by invoking hci_cmd_sync_dequeue() for mesh_send_sync on the
target mesh_tx before completing it. If the entry is found and dequeued,
its destroy callback will complete and free the object; otherwise,
mesh_send_complete() is called directly.
Additionally, ensure the transmission queue advances after cancellation
or errors. In mesh_send_start_complete(), call mesh_next() on error
unless err is -ECANCELED, because hci_cmd_sync_dequeue() holds
hdev->cmd_sync_work_lock and calling mesh_next() synchronously would
deadlock. Instead, advance the queue in send_cancel() once the lock is
released and if no transmission is in progress. |

KVM: s390: Add missing srcu in kvm_s390_set_irq_state()
Like kvm_s390_inject_vcpu(), kvm_s390_set_irq_state() also needs the
kvm->srcu or the slots lock when performing the Store status operation.
Fix by taking kvm->srcu in kvm_s390_set_irq_state(). |
