CVSS v3.1 |
| when EAP runs with -secmgr, the openjdk-orb's JDKBridge honours attacker-supplied CDR codebase URLs during object unmarshalling on :3528, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes from a remote URL in the server JVM before EJB security interceptors run. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows CD-ROM Driver allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Internally found bugs present in Firefox 153. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption or another security-relevant defect and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154 and Thunderbird 154. |
| Race condition, use-after-free in the Layout: Text and Fonts component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 115.39, Firefox ESR 140.14, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, Thunderbird 140.14, and Thunderbird 153.1. |
| A use after free caused by missing lifecycle management of gesture sprites inĀ GestureBuildSprite() in X.Org X Server before 21.1.25 and XWayland before 24.1.14 could be used by authenticated X clients to crash the X server or potentially execute code. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Client-Side Caching (CSC) Service allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| Joker is a small Clojure interpreter, linter and formatter written in Go. Prior to 1.8.2, `joker --lint <file>` walks upward from the linted file to locate a `.jokerd/` directory and executes matching `linter.*` files before linting. Those files contain executable Joker/Clojure code, so linting a file inside an untrusted repository can execute repository-supplied code with the linter user's privileges. Editor integrations and CI jobs that automatically lint checked-out source can trigger this behavior. The patch stops executing project-local linter customizations and loads executable customization only from the user's home directory. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: pcm: Serialize PCM mmap with buffer reallocation to fix page UAF
snd_pcm_hw_params() and snd_pcm_hw_free() guard buffer reallocation
with an mmap_count check performed under the PCM stream lock, but the
lock is released long before the buffer is actually freed:
snd_pcm_sync_stop(), constraint refinement and do_free_pages() all
happen in between. snd_pcm_mmap_data(), on the other hand, takes no
lock at all: it validates against the old buffer's state and
dma_bytes, remaps its pages into the VMA, and only then increments
mmap_count.
A concurrent mmap() can therefore slip in between the check and the
free. remap_pfn_range() installs writable PTEs for the old buffer's
pages without taking page references, and the subsequent
do_free_pages() returns those pages to the page allocator while the
VMA still maps them. This leaves a stale, writable mapping of freed
pages: a page-level use-after-free that can be leveraged for local
privilege escalation.
Make snd_pcm_mmap_data() participate in the buffer-access scheme
introduced for hw_params/hw_free: acquire runtime->buffer_accessing
before validating and remapping, and release it afterwards. Buffer
reallocation already fails with -EBUSY while accessors are active,
and the mmap side now fails with -EBUSY while a reallocation is in
progress, so the validate/remap sequence and the check/free sequence
can no longer interleave.
A reproducer that turns this race into a stale writable mapping of
the freed DMA buffer pages is available on request. |
| Functype is a family of TypeScript functional programming libraries. Prior to 1.4.4, the `set_functype_version` MCP tool in `functype-mcp-server` accepts an unconstrained `version` string using only `z.string()` validation in `packages/mcp-server/src/index.ts` and interpolates it into `functype@<version>` for `pnpm add`. Package-alias syntaxes such as `file:`, `npm:`, URLs, or paths can cause an arbitrary local or remote package to be installed as functype. Immediately afterward, `initDocsData(true)` in `packages/mcp-server/src/lib/docs/data.ts` resolves `functype/cli` and dynamically imports the newly installed module, executing attacker-controlled JavaScript with the MCP server process's privileges. Any MCP client able to send a `tools/call` request invoking the tool can exploit the flaw; the tool is enabled by default without authentication in `stdio` mode. A connected AI assistant susceptible to indirect prompt injection can also be induced to invoke it from a malicious document or web page. In non-default `TRANSPORT_TYPE=httpStream` deployments, a network-accessible attacker does not require local access. Successful execution can read process secrets, modify files, or terminate the server. This issue is fixed in `version` 1.4.4. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows NTFS allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| A use-after-free caused by lack of lifecycle management when adding / removing XInput master devices in X.org X Server before 21.1.25 and XWayland before 24.1.14 could be used by authenticated X Clients to crash the X server or potentially execute code in X server context. |
| A use-after-free inĀ present_clear_window_notifies() in the X.org X Server before 21.1.25 and X Wayland before 24.1.14 could be used by malicious X clients to crash or potentially execute code in the X server context. |
| NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM for any platform contains a vulnerability in KvCacheAwareRouter tokenizer loading, where an attacker could cause inclusion of functionality from an untrusted control sphere. A successful exploit might lead to code execution, information disclosure, data tampering, and denial of service. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows Error Reporting allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| When Thunderbird asked for a security device password (for example a smartcard PIN or the Primary Password) while decrypting an S/MIME message, the message load could finish or be cancelled while the prompt was open. This freed the message decoder while it was still in use, causing a use-after-free and a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 158.0.1 and Thunderbird 153.6. |
| Inclusion of functionality from untrusted control sphere in Microsoft Exchange Server allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the FireCluster Sync processing allows an attacker positioned on the cluster interconnect, such as a compromised cluster peer or an on-path network attacker, to repeatedly crash the firewall's cluster synchronization process by sending specially crafted network traffic, resulting in a sustained denial of service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: brcmfmac: fix P2P device removal race in brcmf_detach()
When the driver is removed while the user space process that created
the P2P device (e.g. wpa_supplicant) is still exiting, the P2P device
interface is removed twice and the kernel crashes.
The two paths are:
- wpa_supplicant, on exit, sends NL80211_CMD_DEL_INTERFACE for the P2P
device. nl80211_del_interface() holds RTNL and the wiphy mutex and
calls brcmf_p2p_del_vif(), which disables discovery and waits up to
1.5 s for BRCMF_E_IF_DEL. Then it calls brcmf_remove_interface(),
which unregisters the wdev and frees the vif and the ifp.
- brcmf_detach() sets the bus down, so BRCMF_E_IF_DEL never arrives,
and calls brcmf_remove_interface(ifp, false) for the same ifp.
brcmf_p2p_ifp_removed() reads ifp->vif and then blocks on
rtnl_lock(). When brcmf_p2p_del_vif() releases RTNL, it calls
cfg80211_unregister_wdev() on the wdev that was already unregistered
and freed.
The second list_del_rcu() of wdev->list faults on LIST_POISON2:
brcmfmac: brcmf_p2p_del_vif delete P2P vif

The log was taken with debug=0x406 on an i.MX 8M Plus board with a
CYW55513 (Sona IF513) on SDIO. The driver is the Ezurio backport of
brcmfmac from v6.18.22 on a 5.4-rt kernel. The code involved is the same
in mainline.
To reproduce:
1. Start wpa_supplicant on wlan0 and let it associate. It creates the
P2P device (iw dev shows "type P2P-device").
2. Stop wpa_supplicant and remove the driver without waiting for
wpa_supplicant to exit:
kill $(pidof wpa_supplicant)
rmmod brcmfmac_cyw brcmfmac
The crash is reproducible on that board.
For the interface without a netdev (the P2P device), take RTNL and the
wiphy mutex in brcmf_detach() before reading iflist, and remove it with
locked=true. If brcmf_p2p_del_vif() runs first, brcmf_detach() finds the
slot empty. If brcmf_detach() runs first, nl80211 does not find the wdev
any more. The interfaces with a netdev are removed as before, because
brcmf_del_if() takes RTNL on its own for the primary interface. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: hold a reference to nodes found by link name
tipc_node_find_by_name() returns a node after dropping its RCU read lock
without taking a reference. The LINK_SET, LINK_GET and LINK_RESET_STATS
handlers then lock and access the node, racing with timer-driven cleanup of
a down peer. Generic netlink serialization does not exclude the node
timer.
The following interleaving can leave a handler using a freed node:
CPU 0: find the node under RCU and release the node read lock
CPU 1: tipc_node_timeout() clears the links and unlinks the down node
CPU 1: drop the list and timer references, queuing tipc_node_free()
CPU 0: leave the RCU read-side critical section
CPU 1: complete the grace period and free the node
CPU 0: acquire the node lock through the stale pointer
LINK_SET also uses the node's media address after releasing the node lock,
when passing queued packets to tipc_bearer_xmit().

Acquire a reference to the selected node with kref_get_unless_zero() before
leaving RCU, returning NULL if the node has already been released. Release
that reference on every caller exit after the last node access, including
transmission in LINK_SET. Keep the existing link lookup order and locking
so concurrent link removal still takes the existing error paths. |
| PHP has various global state that temporarily points into request memory. In some scenarios, global state may not be correctly reset, or may be repopulated after being reset. The global state may then refer to request memory even after it has been freed. Subsequent requests may read or branch on this stale state before it is fully initialized. Multiple strategies can trigger this condition and produce remote code execution (RCE). |
