CVE-2025-68342 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: gs_usb: gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback(): check actual_length before accessing data The URB received in gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback() contains a struct gs_host_frame. The length of the data after the header depends on the gs_host_frame hf::flags and the active device features (e.g. time stamping). Introduce a new function gs_usb_get_minimum_length() and check that we have at least received the required amount of data before accessing it. Only copy the data to that skb that has actually been received. [mkl: rename gs_usb_get_minimum_length() -> +gs_usb_get_minimum_rx_length()]
CVE-2025-68321 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: page_pool: always add GFP_NOWARN for ATOMIC allocations Driver authors often forget to add GFP_NOWARN for page allocation from the datapath. This is annoying to users as OOMs are a fact of life, and we pretty much expect network Rx to hit page allocation failures during OOM. Make page pool add GFP_NOWARN for ATOMIC allocations by default.

CVE-2025-68209 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlx5: Fix default values in create CQ Currently, CQs without a completion function are assigned the mlx5_add_cq_to_tasklet function by default. This is problematic since only user CQs created through the mlx5_ib driver are intended to use this function. Additionally, all CQs that will use doorbells instead of polling for completions must call mlx5_cq_arm. However, the default CQ creation flow leaves a valid value in the CQ's arm_db field, allowing FW to send interrupts to polling-only CQs in certain corner cases. These two factors would allow a polling-only kernel CQ to be triggered by an EQ interrupt and call a completion function intended only for user CQs, causing a null pointer exception. Some areas in the driver have prevented this issue with one-off fixes but did not address the root cause. This patch fixes the described issue by adding defaults to the create CQ flow. It adds a default dummy completion function to protect against null pointer exceptions, and it sets an invalid command sequence number by default in kernel CQs to prevent the FW from sending an interrupt to the CQ until it is armed. User CQs are responsible for their own initialization values. Callers of mlx5_core_create_cq are responsible for changing the completion function and arming the CQ per their needs.

CVE-2025-68183 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: don't clear IMA_DIGSIG flag when setting or removing non-IMA xattr Currently when both IMA and EVM are in fix mode, the IMA signature will be reset to IMA hash if a program first stores IMA signature in security.ima and then writes/removes some other security xattr for the file. For example, on Fedora, after booting the kernel with "ima_appraise=fix evm=fix ima_policy=appraise_tcb" and installing rpm-plugin-ima, installing/reinstalling a package will not make good reference IMA signature generated. Instead IMA hash is generated, # getfattr -m - -d -e hex /usr/bin/bash # file: usr/bin/bash security.ima=0x0404... This happens because when setting security.selinux, the IMA_DIGSIG flag that had been set early was cleared. As a result, IMA hash is generated when the file is closed. Similarly, IMA signature can be cleared on file close after removing security xattr like security.evm or setting/removing ACL. Prevent replacing the IMA file signature with a file hash, by preventing the IMA_DIGSIG flag from being reset. Here's a minimal C reproducer which sets security.selinux as the last step which can also replaced by removing security.evm or setting ACL, #include <stdio.h> #include <sys/xattr.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <string.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main() { const char* file_path = "/usr/sbin/test_binary"; const char* hex_string = "030204d33204490066306402304"; int length = strlen(hex_string); char* ima_attr_value; int fd; fd = open(file_path, O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644); if (fd == -1) { perror("Error opening file"); return 1; } ima_attr_value = (char*)malloc(length / 2 ); for (int i = 0, j = 0; i < length; i += 2, j++) { sscanf(hex_string + i, "%2hhx", &ima_attr_value[j]); } if (fsetxattr(fd, "security.ima", ima_attr_value, length/2, 0) == -1) { perror("Error setting extended attribute"); close(fd); return 1; } const char* selinux_value= "system_u:object_r:bin_t:s0"; if (fsetxattr(fd, "security.selinux", selinux_value, strlen(selinux_value), 0) == -1) { perror("Error setting extended attribute"); close(fd); return 1; } close(fd); return 0; }
CVE-2025-40338 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: Intel: avs: Do not share the name pointer between components By sharing 'name' directly, tearing down components may lead to use-after-free errors. Duplicate the name to avoid that. At the same time, update the order of operations - since commit cee28113db17 ("ASoC: dmaengine_pcm: Allow passing component name via config") the framework does not override component->name if set before invoking the initializer.
CVE-2025-40337 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: Correctly handle Rx checksum offload errors The stmmac_rx function would previously set skb->ip_summed to CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY if hardware checksum offload (CoE) was enabled and the packet was of a known IP ethertype. However, this logic failed to check if the hardware had actually reported a checksum error. The hardware status, indicating a header or payload checksum failure, was being ignored at this stage. This could cause corrupt packets to be passed up the network stack as valid. This patch corrects the logic by checking the `csum_none` status flag, which is set when the hardware reports a checksum error. If this flag is set, skb->ip_summed is now correctly set to CHECKSUM_NONE, ensuring the kernel's network stack will perform its own validation and properly handle the corrupt packet.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: use dst_dev_rcu() in sk_setup_caps() Use RCU to protect accesses to dst->dev from sk_setup_caps() and sk_dst_gso_max_size(). Also use dst_dev_rcu() in ip6_dst_mtu_maybe_forward(), and ip_dst_mtu_maybe_forward(). ip4_dst_hoplimit() can use dst_dev_net_rcu().
CVE-2025-40160 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen/events: Return -EEXIST for bound VIRQs Change find_virq() to return -EEXIST when a VIRQ is bound to a different CPU than the one passed in. With that, remove the BUG_ON() from bind_virq_to_irq() to propogate the error upwards. Some VIRQs are per-cpu, but others are per-domain or global. Those must be bound to CPU0 and can then migrate elsewhere. The lookup for per-domain and global will probably fail when migrated off CPU 0, especially when the current CPU is tracked. This now returns -EEXIST instead of BUG_ON(). A second call to bind a per-domain or global VIRQ is not expected, but make it non-fatal to avoid trying to look up the irq, since we don't know which per_cpu(virq_to_irq) it will be in.
CVE-2025-40158 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: use RCU in ip6_output() Use RCU in ip6_output() in order to use dst_dev_rcu() to prevent possible UAF. We can remove rcu_read_lock()/rcu_read_unlock() pairs from ip6_finish_output2().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: use RCU in ip6_xmit() Use RCU in ip6_xmit() in order to use dst_dev_rcu() to prevent possible UAF.
CVE-2025-40075 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp_metrics: use dst_dev_net_rcu() Replace three dst_dev() with a lockdep enabled helper.
CVE-2025-40071 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: n_gsm: Don't block input queue by waiting MSC Currently gsm_queue() processes incoming frames and when opening a DLC channel it calls gsm_dlci_open() which calls gsm_modem_update(). If basic mode is used it calls gsm_modem_upd_via_msc() and it cannot block the input queue by waiting the response to come into the same input queue. Instead allow sending Modem Status Command without waiting for remote end to respond. Define a new function gsm_modem_send_initial_msc() for this purpose. As MSC is only valid for basic encoding, it does not do anything for advanced or when convergence layer type 2 is used.
CVE-2025-40067 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: reject index allocation if $BITMAP is empty but blocks exist Index allocation requires at least one bit in the $BITMAP attribute to track usage of index entries. If the bitmap is empty while index blocks are already present, this reflects on-disk corruption. syzbot triggered this condition using a malformed NTFS image. During a rename() operation involving a long filename (which spans multiple index entries), the empty bitmap allowed the name to be added without valid tracking. Subsequent deletion of the original entry failed with -ENOENT, due to unexpected index state. Reject such cases by verifying that the bitmap is not empty when index blocks exist.
CVE-2025-39952 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wilc1000: avoid buffer overflow in WID string configuration Fix the following copy overflow warning identified by Smatch checker. drivers/net/wireless/microchip/wilc1000/wlan_cfg.c:184 wilc_wlan_parse_response_frame() error: '__memcpy()' 'cfg->s[i]->str' copy overflow (512 vs 65537) This patch introduces size check before accessing the memory buffer. The checks are base on the WID type of received data from the firmware. For WID string configuration, the size limit is determined by individual element size in 'struct wilc_cfg_str_vals' that is maintained in 'len' field of 'struct wilc_cfg_str'.
CVE-2025-39859 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ptp: ocp: fix use-after-free bugs causing by ptp_ocp_watchdog The ptp_ocp_detach() only shuts down the watchdog timer if it is pending. However, if the timer handler is already running, the timer_delete_sync() is not called. This leads to race conditions where the devlink that contains the ptp_ocp is deallocated while the timer handler is still accessing it, resulting in use-after-free bugs. The following details one of the race scenarios. (thread 1) | (thread 2) ptp_ocp_remove() | ptp_ocp_detach() | ptp_ocp_watchdog() if (timer_pending(&bp->watchdog))| bp = timer_container_of() timer_delete_sync() | | devlink_free(devlink) //free | | bp-> //use Resolve this by unconditionally calling timer_delete_sync() to ensure the timer is reliably deactivated, preventing any access after free.
CVE-2025-39851 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: Fix NPD when refreshing an FDB entry with a nexthop object VXLAN FDB entries can point to either a remote destination or an FDB nexthop group. The latter is usually used in EVPN deployments where learning is disabled. However, when learning is enabled, an incoming packet might try to refresh an FDB entry that points to an FDB nexthop group and therefore does not have a remote. Such packets should be dropped, but they are only dropped after dereferencing the non-existent remote, resulting in a NPD [1] which can be reproduced using [2]. Fix by dropping such packets earlier. Remove the misleading comment from first_remote_rcu(). CVE-2025-39810 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix memory corruption when FW resources change during ifdown bnxt_set_dflt_rings() assumes that it is always called before any TC has been created. So it doesn't take bp->num_tc into account and assumes that it is always 0 or 1. In the FW resource or capability change scenario, the FW will return flags in bnxt_hwrm_if_change() that will cause the driver to reinitialize and call bnxt_cancel_reservations(). This will lead to bnxt_init_dflt_ring_mode() calling bnxt_set_dflt_rings() and bp->num_tc may be greater than 1. This will cause bp->tx_ring[] to be sized too small and cause memory corruption in bnxt_alloc_cp_rings(). Fix it by properly scaling the TX rings by bp->num_tc in the code paths mentioned above. Add 2 helper functions to determine bp->tx_nr_rings and bp->tx_nr_rings_per_tc.
CVE-2025-39797 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: Duplicate SPI Handling The issue originates when Strongswan initiates an XFRM_MSG_ALLOCSPI Netlink message, which triggers the kernel function xfrm_alloc_spi(). This function is expected to ensure uniqueness of the Security Parameter Index (SPI) for inbound Security Associations (SAs). However, it can return success even when the requested SPI is already in use, leading to duplicate SPIs assigned to multiple inbound SAs, differentiated only by their destination addresses. This behavior causes inconsistencies during SPI lookups for inbound packets. Since the lookup may return an arbitrary SA among those with the same SPI, packet processing can fail, resulting in packet drops. According to RFC 4301 section 4.4.2 , for inbound processing a unicast SA is uniquely identified by the SPI and optionally protocol. Reproducing the Issue Reliably: To consistently reproduce the problem, restrict the available SPI range in charon.conf : spi_min = 0x10000000 spi_max = 0x10000002 This limits the system to only 2 usable SPI values. Next, create more than 2 Child SA. each using unique pair of src/dst address. As soon as the 3rd Child SA is initiated, it will be assigned a duplicate SPI, since the SPI pool is already exhausted. With a narrow SPI range, the issue is consistently reproducible. With a broader/default range, it becomes rare and unpredictable. Current implementation: xfrm_spi_hash() lookup function computes hash using daddr, proto, and family. So if two SAs have the same SPI but different destination addresses, then they will: a. Hash into different buckets b. Be stored in different linked lists (byspi + h) c. Not be seen in the same hlist_for_each_entry_rcu() iteration. As a result, the lookup will result in NULL and kernel allows that Duplicate SPI Proposed Change: xfrm_state_lookup_spi_proto() does a truly global search - across all states, regardless of hash bucket and matches SPI and proto.
