CVE-2026-80662 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl: Fix CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE to match RAS Capability size The CXL r4.0 8.2.4.17.7 RAS Capability Structure has total length 0x58 bytes (CXL_RAS_CAPABILITY_LENGTH); the Header Log occupies the trailing 64 bytes at offset 0x18. CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE was defined as SZ_512, eight times the actual on-device size. header_log_copy() reads CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE_U32 (128) dwords from the RAS capability iomap, overrunning the 88-byte mapping by 448 bytes. The cxl_aer_uncorrectable_error trace event memcpy()s CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE (512) bytes from its source. For the CPER caller the source is struct cxl_ras_capability_regs::header_log[16] (64 bytes) embedded in a stack-local cxl_cper_prot_err_work_data, so the memcpy reads 448 bytes of kernel stack into the trace event ring buffer where userspace can read it via tracefs. Set CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE to 64 and derive CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE_U32 from it, bringing all iomap readers into agreement on 16 dwords. Userspace tools such as rasdaemon have grown a dependency on the buggy 512-byte (128 u32) header_log layout in the cxl_aer_uncorrectable_error trace event. Add CXL_HEADERLOG_TRACE_SIZE_U32 = 128 and use it for the trace event __array and its memcpy to preserve that ABI. Both callers now pass a zero-filled u32[CXL_HEADERLOG_TRACE_SIZE_U32] staging buffer with only the first CXL_HEADERLOG_SIZE_U32 (16) entries populated from hardware; the remaining 112 u32s are zero-padded, keeping the 512-byte trace ring buffer layout intact. [ dj: Replaced 64 with SZ_64 per RichardC ]
CVE-2026-43197 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: avoid OOB reads, msg is not nul-terminated msg passed to netconsole from the console subsystem is not guaranteed to be nul-terminated. Before recent commit 7eab73b18630 ("netconsole: convert to NBCON console infrastructure") the message would be placed in printk_shared_pbufs, a static global buffer, so KASAN had harder time catching OOB accesses. Now we see: printk: console [netcon_ext0] enabled BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in string+0x1f7/0x240 Read of size 1 at addr ffff88813b6d4c00 by task pr/netcon_ext0/594 CPU: 65 UID: 0 PID: 594 Comm: pr/netcon_ext0 Not tainted 6.19.0-11754-g4246fd6547c9 Call Trace: kasan_report+0xe4/0x120 string+0x1f7/0x240 vsnprintf+0x655/0xba0 scnprintf+0xba/0x120 netconsole_write+0x3fe/0xa10 nbcon_emit_next_record+0x46e/0x860 nbcon_kthread_func+0x623/0x750 Allocated by task 1: nbcon_alloc+0x1ea/0x450 register_console+0x26b/0xe10 init_netconsole+0xbb0/0xda0 The buggy address belongs to the object at ffff88813b6d4000 which belongs to the cache kmalloc-4k of size 4096 The buggy address is located 0 bytes to the right of allocated 3072-byte region [ffff88813b6d4000, ffff88813b6d4c00)
CVE-2025-71306 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: Fix stack-out-of-bounds in is_bprm_creds_for_exec() KASAN reported a stack-out-of-bounds access in ima_appraise_measurement from is_bprm_creds_for_exec: BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in ima_appraise_measurement+0x12dc/0x16a0 Read of size 1 at addr ffffc9000160f940 by task sudo/550 The buggy address belongs to stack of task sudo/550 and is located at offset 24 in frame: ima_appraise_measurement+0x0/0x16a0 This frame has 2 objects: [48, 56) 'file' [80, 148) 'hash' This is caused by using container_of on the *file pointer. This offset calculation is what triggers the stack-out-of-bounds error. In order to fix this, pass in a bprm_is_check boolean which can be set depending on how process_measurement is called. If the caller has a linux_binprm pointer and the function is BPRM_CHECK we can determine is_check and set it then. Otherwise set it to false.
CVE-2025-38292 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: fix invalid access to memory In ath12k_dp_rx_msdu_coalesce(), rxcb is fetched from skb and boolean is_continuation is part of rxcb. Currently, after freeing the skb, the rxcb->is_continuation accessed again which is wrong since the memory is already freed. This might lead use-after-free error. Hence, fix by locally defining bool is_continuation from rxcb, so that after freeing skb, is_continuation can be used. Compile tested only.
CVE-2025-21650 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: fixed hclge_fetch_pf_reg accesses bar space out of bounds issue The TQP BAR space is divided into two segments. TQPs 0-1023 and TQPs 1024-1279 are in different BAR space addresses. However, hclge_fetch_pf_reg does not distinguish the tqp space information when reading the tqp space information. When the number of TQPs is greater than 1024, access bar space overwriting occurs. The problem of different segments has been considered during the initialization of tqp.io_base. Therefore, tqp.io_base is directly used when the queue is read in hclge_fetch_pf_reg. The error message: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffff800037200000 pc : hclge_fetch_pf_reg+0x138/0x250 [hclge] lr : hclge_get_regs+0x84/0x1d0 [hclge] Call trace: hclge_fetch_pf_reg+0x138/0x250 [hclge] hclge_get_regs+0x84/0x1d0 [hclge] hns3_get_regs+0x2c/0x50 [hns3] ethtool_get_regs+0xf4/0x270 dev_ethtool+0x674/0x8a0 dev_ioctl+0x270/0x36c sock_do_ioctl+0x110/0x2a0 sock_ioctl+0x2ac/0x530 __arm64_sys_ioctl+0xa8/0x100 invoke_syscall+0x4c/0x124 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0x140/0x15c do_el0_svc+0x30/0xd0 el0_svc+0x1c/0x2c el0_sync_handler+0xb0/0xb4 el0_sync+0x168/0x180
CVE-2024-42162 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: Account for stopped queues when reading NIC stats We now account for the fact that the NIC might send us stats for a subset of queues. Without this change, gve_get_ethtool_stats might make an invalid access on the priv->stats_report->stats array.
CVE-2026-111375 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-10-21 4.8 Medium
FreeRDP from 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Windows RAIL client that allows malicious RDP servers to trigger heap over-reads by sending non-NUL-terminated window titles. Attackers can send a full-length WINDOW_ORDER_FIELD_TITLE update that wf_rail_window_common passes to SetWindowTextW, corrupting titles or crashing the client.
CVE-2026-111155 1 Sezero 1 Libtimidity 2026-10-21 6.1 Medium
libTiMidity through 0.2.8 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the SoundFont loader in src/sndfont.c that uses unvalidated sampleId and instrument generator values as table indices. Attackers can supply a crafted .sf2 file loaded through mid_set_soundfont() to read heap memory out of bounds and crash the application.
CVE-2026-111150 1 Valleybell 1 Libvgm 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
ValleyBell libvgm through commit a6eed945 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the PCM data-block decompressor caused by an unbounded compression-table index. Attackers can supply a crafted .vgm file with a small type 0x7F table and wider compressed values, causing DecompressDataBlk to over-read heap memory and crash consumers.
CVE-2026-111145 1 Ytnef Project 1 Ytnef 2026-10-21 6.1 Medium
ytnef through 2.1.2 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in DecompressRTF() in lib/ytnef.c that never validates uncompressedSize for uncompressed RTF streams. Attackers can supply a crafted winmail.dat TNEF attachment with a malicious PT_BINARY MAPI property to crash ytnefprint or libytnef callers and leak adjacent heap memory.
CVE-2026-111140 1 Libyal 1 Libregf 2026-10-21 6.1 Medium
libregf through 20260526 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in libregf_value_item_read_value_data() because it bounds value data size without subtracting the 4-byte old-format cell offset. Attackers can supply a crafted version 1.0/1.1 REGF hive with a value data cell ending its hive bin to leak adjacent heap bytes or crash parsers like regfexport and plaso.
CVE-2026-111130 1 Openslide 1 Openslide 2026-10-21 6.1 Medium
OpenSlide through 4.0.1 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the MIRAX reader that allows attackers to read past the slide_positions array via crafted Slidedat.ini values. Attackers can supply a MIRAX slide whose CameraImageDivisionsPerSide does not evenly divide the image counts, crashing applications that open it and corrupting tile geometry.
CVE-2026-110876 1 Adplug Project 1 Adplug 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
AdPlug through 2.4 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in src/xsm.cpp that allows attackers to read before note_table by supplying a negative note index. Attackers can craft an XSM file with the ofTAZ! signature and a song byte of 0x80 or higher, causing a global-buffer-overflow read during playback that may crash affected applications.
CVE-2026-113868 1 Mozilla 1 Thunderbird 2026-10-20 5.3 Medium
When authenticating to a POP3 or SMTP server using NTLM, Thunderbird did not check whether the server's challenge was valid base64. A malicious server could send a challenge that caused Thunderbird to include uninitialized heap memory in its NTLM response, disclosing that memory to the server. A challenge consisting only of base64 padding also caused an out-of-bounds read, crashing Thunderbird. This affected accounts configured to use NTLM or GSSAPI authentication. The uninitialized memory disclosure only affected NTLM. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 158.0.1 and Thunderbird 153.5.1.
CVE-2026-88081 1 Microsoft 13 Microsoft Sql Server 2017 (gdr), Microsoft Sql Server 2017 For X64-based Systems \(cu31\), Microsoft Sql Server 2019 (gdr) and 10 more 2026-10-20 7.7 High
Out-of-bounds read in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
CVE-2026-98578 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-20 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: st21nfca: validate ISO15693 inventory length The ISO15693 inventory helper removes a two-byte prefix without checking that it exists, then accepts a one-byte remainder before reading data[1] as the DSFID. Require the prefix and at least two remaining bytes before copying the UID data and reading the DSFID.
CVE-2026-96582 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx Usbx 2026-10-20 4.9 Medium
A HID report descriptor is a sequence of items, each declaring in its header how many data bytes follow. The USBX host walks that sequence by advancing over each header and parsing the data behind it. The walk checked that an item fitted in the descriptor only **after** it had advanced past the header and parsed the payload, and the item analysis it relied on never measured the declared sizes against the bytes actually received. A HID peripheral returning a short report descriptor therefore drove a heap out-of-bounds read during ordinary enumeration.
CVE-2026-96406 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx Usbx 2026-10-20 4.9 Medium
A VideoStreaming interface reports the size of its whole class-specific descriptor block in the `wTotalLength` field of its input header. The USBX host recorded that figure and used it as the budget for walking the format, frame and frame-interval descriptors, without holding it against the configuration descriptor actually received. A device that reports a `wTotalLength` larger than the descriptors it supplies therefore had its own claim believed. Once the real bytes ran out the walk kept going, dereferencing the cursor past the end of the configuration buffer, in the host's context, whenever the application queried format or frame data.
CVE-2026-96402 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx Usbx 2026-10-20 N/A
A malicious USB MTP/PTP device can cause the USBX host to read past a heap buffer during ordinary object enumeration, leaking adjacent heap contents to the application or faulting on an unmapped page.
CVE-2026-95111 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx 2026-10-20 N/A
A memory-protected ThreadX module's queue request reaches the Module Manager's dispatch layer, which decides how much of the module's buffer the privileged queue copy may touch and hands that extent to the module port's range check. A queue's `tx_queue_message_size` is a count of `ULONG`s and the copy moves that many words, so the extent is `message_size * sizeof(ULONG)` bytes. The front-send dispatcher passed the word count itself. `tx_queue_send` and `tx_queue_receive`, either side of it in the same header, have always multiplied. A source buffer ending `message_size` bytes into memory the module may read was therefore accepted, and `_txe_queue_front_send` then read `message_size * sizeof(ULONG)` bytes from it in privileged mode — `3 * message_size` bytes past the end of what the module is allowed to read. The words are written into the queue's message area, so a module that can receive from that queue reads them back.
